Jeff started his career in 1987 as a motorcycle mechanic and autobody/machinist apprenticeship specializing in metal-finishing and lead filling in Sacramento, CA. He moved to San Francisco in 1992 for his first production bodyman job at Porsche/Jaguar/Range Rover dealership bodyshops. In 1997 Jeff went to work for BMW San Francisco as a bodyshop foreman and eventually became General Manager of the first BMW Certified Collision Repair Center, German Motors Collision, now GMP Cars. He is a 10 year member of Axalta Business Council BC8 and a member of Student Curriculum advisory board for Universal Technical Institute of Sacramento. John Heim has been a Ferrari mechanic for the last 30 years. After working at Walnut Creek Ferrari and San Francisco Ferrari where he was the Shop Foreman for 12 years, John left to open the service department of San Francisco Motorsports in 2010, where he remained until he joined GMP. John holds 31 Ferrari and Maserati certifications and has worked on all models dating back to the mid 70’s, including the ‘Super Ferraris’ 288GTO, F40, F50, and the Enzo.
With 30 years in the auto industry, Rob has experience working on pretty much everything from front end loaders to Toyota Corollas. Rob started his first classic car repair business at 22. Rob later got involved with the race world, learning all aspects of race prep, strategy, transport, and pit work. Rob has been with GMP for eight years, and while he has extensive experience with exotics, his passion is taking a motorcycle, classic car, or muscle car and building it from the ground up to be better than new.
Dale has been with GMP for four years and has extensive experience working on classics, muscle cars, and exotics where he specializes in exhaust, suspension, and ECU tuning. His hands on experience gives him a unique perspective as head of GMP Autosport After-market.
Rick is a factory certified Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche technician who has spent the last 10 years working exclusively on all kinds of Ferrari’s and Maserati’s for Ferrari North America and the last two years with SF Motorsports. Prior to that, Rick worked as a mechanic for Sonnen Porsche and has extensive experience with Porsche’s air cooled models. Rick is also a certified aircraft mechanic, with a decade of experience fixing aircraft engines before embarking on the automotive journey that led him to GMP Cars.
Eric has spent the last 39 years working in the Novato garage that now houses GMP Cars. In that time he has seen and done virtually every type of automotive repair. He specializes in drivability and diagnostics where he brings to bear his prolific experience to get to the root of the problem. Eric is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has had his smog license for almost 30 years.
Tracy has spent the last 30 years in the automotive industry. The first half of her career included stops at Novato Nissan, John Irish Chrysler/Jeep, RAB Motors, and Marin Luxury Cars. Her focus then shifted to Exotics, with 11 years at Ferrari San Francisco and the last three at San Francisco Motorsports. Along the way, Tracy has mastered a variety of skills and disciplines that allow her to effectively coordinate an efficient, timely, and successful job completion.
A 35 year veteran of in the mobile electronics field and owner of his own shop for the last 20, Marty has built a reputation as the leader in custom installations.
